Roxy Music is one of those bands that is so fantastic (hyperbolically sexist album covers aside, [NSFW images follow!] a few of which seem retrograde EVEN FOR THE 1970s) that I will salivate over their genius at length. For me, Roxy is also one of those groups that can make people non-annoying, or less annoying, by association. I mean, if the lead singer from Coldplay were somehow to collaborate with one or more of the former members of Roxy, I would probably not have such a burning hate-on for him and his ridiculous musical output. I would, perhaps, say something to the effect of, “Oh, Chris Martin and I? No, we’re cool. I totally hate his music, but we’re cool.”
